I am listing Brandy here for a friend, but I have ridden with this mare alot over the last 4 years so I am comfortable in what she is, a very solid riding mare, only for sale because the owner is going back to school and looking at keeping her two roping and cow-bred horses. Brandy is quiet and dependable, has been ridden in several horsemanship & ranch roping clinics. She has also been used in the pasture on round-ups, an occational pasture vaccination or and has been used at a couple of brandings. She has also been on many overnight trail rides in Iowa and Missouri. She is quiet away from the herd and is comfortable being ridden alone. Brandy has been ridden in the vaquero horsemanship style the last 5 years (natural horsemanship), mostly ridden in a snaffle bit and mecate but occationally in a hackamore (bosal & mecate), but it woudn't take much to have her going nicely in a shank bit if that is the route you want to go (she is very well broke, just never moved her up because she rode good in what she was in). She would be a great trail riding mount for an adult or good for confident youth that wanted to trail ride, work cattle or she could be shown in pleasure or performance events. See what you think she is worth & make an offer, owner starts classes in September!! Owner's number is 563-320-3979 (Laura). Thanks!
