15.3 Hands Tall, big, sound, strong, good looking and a honest horse. Could drag anything to the fire. Can hold a big cowboy, but kind enough for a kid. Gets along with anything in pasture or stall. Not a trouble maker, he takes a lot of abuse off other Alpha horses. Loads and hauls well. Stands for Horseshoer. Feet as tuff as nails, doesn’t really need shoes. Comes at a gallop from the pasture when you call him, as long as you have a apple biscuit. Stands for two days tied. You can let him stand for 6 months in the pasture and he's still not hot. Doesn't buck, rare or prance, even when he gets stung by a bee. Never seen him get hot. No spurs required. He’s pretty mellow, but not lazy, will come to life when you ask. Steps out for a quiet horse. Good on trail, doesn’t have to be in the lead on a trail ride, likes to follow if that's what you want. He’s a character. Easy keeper for a big boy, not a hog. Kept weight on nicely just on pasture all summer. Nice thick mane and tail. A very unusual color, maybe a liver chestnut? A nice color to keep clean. White on his belly and two white socks.
COMMENT FROM PREVIOUS OWNER:
Scooter is an awesome ranch horse - you name it we have done it off of him. Ranch rodeos, Roped cows, drug bulls. Last ranch rodeo was pouring rain and had to wear a cumbersome slicker ten sizes to big and rope in mud knee deep. Scooter drips with personality, very kind, can be a card - will try to play games with other horses but as well-mannered as they come. He's always glad to see people and go and do - never had him offer to buck no matter how long since the last time you rode him - does not need rode to stay broke and not one to get fresh. He has had to work for a living and looks like a white collar guy but has a blue collar attitude. Catch him anywhere you find him. 13 year old would go to the pasture and catch him and if he can crawl on rides him back bareback in a halter. He is that special kind of horse from personality, disposition, looks and the way he rides. He's gentle, calm, no-nonsense but not a deadhead by any means - just a horse that has had to work for a living and will do whatever you ask - he loves people and very well-mannered. He is a looker - has the color and confirmation. He's done anything we ask, and not one to get excited when we have gotten him in a wreck. He's covered a lot of miles in different terrain and always handles himself well. He's really our go-to horse. And he just has this personality that is hard to describe. Swear he would tell you jokes if he could. He's steadfast, honest and pure of heart. You cannot help but grow very fond of him for several reasons. He is totally sound, no blemishes, has no vices. No bad habits. Does not need rode regularly but would be more than pleased to just spend time with you daily.
