Dot excels at Showmanship and is doing very well in her Pleasure and is Fantastic in Trail! She has naturally smooth gates, excellent manners, has been raised with my children who are 9 and 12, ties, baths, clips, stands for the farrier, she loves to go out on the trail and will cross any type of water she comes to, she has worked cows on a couple of occasions, ground ties, lunges and round pens like a champ, and my daughers most recent goal is to desensitize the horses to anything that moves or makes noise so she does not spook from anything we have been able to find! Dot has been hauled all over California and Nevada, loads easy and stands where you tie her for as long as you ask! This young mare has a great mind and so much potential. Although my children can do anything with her that I can, I would not recommend her as a childs horse as she can be "marey". Dot needs at least an intermediate rider, she gets a little lazy and needs someone who will ride her to her potential or she will "cheat"! I hate to see this girl go but my kids have decided that they prefer to rodeo and she is definitely not the horse for that! Please call or email with any questions or if you would like to see more pics! Reasonable offers considered to the right home.
UPDATE! Dot just competed in her first trail challenge and completed every obstacle, there were 10 different obstacles, scoring was 0-10 with 0 being the best you can get, she scored 0 on three obstacles, 1 on 4 obstacles, a 3 on 1 obstacle and a 5 and 6 on the last two obstacles on of which was rider error!!! This was a natural trail course set in the beautiful Buttermilk hills of the Eastern Sierra and she never misbehaved once!
